Wilmslow to Wembley, Manchester to the Maracanã, Ellis Park to Estadio Azteca and everywhere else. Starting in 1924, Umbro was founded by brothers Harold and Wallace Humphreys–coining the name ‘Umbro,’ from an abbreviation “um” of their family name, and “bro” to symbolize their brotherhood. Since the start of their now worldwide brand, the company is famous for their many collaborations with Boiler Room, MTV, and more. A notable collaboration, titled “Penalty Culture,” is a collaboration between Slam Jam and Umbro - integrating Slam Jam's subcultural design style into Umbro's traditional football jerseys.
